Swing Time Memory

I have been dying to get into the city for a fun evening with good friends and good food. We finally agreed on the very trendy Restaurant TAO. We were a group of 6. After waiting at the bar for for sometime for a table we were finally seated. We were famished and sufficiently intoxicated. To all of our horror, not one of us had our reading glasses with us. As I dug frantically into my big budha bag... low and behold I come up with a pair SUPER COMPACT, EXTRA-FLAT, POCKET-SIZE, SWING TO OPEN, feather-light my memory plastic readers. I passed them around the table and we were all able to see the delectable menu. Swing Time saved the day and a good time was had by all.

PJ Harvey & Audience

Last night I was at a wonderful show at the Beacon Theatre in NYC, catching up on my rock 'n roll. A gentleman in line (pretending to be in line?) asked, "So, what was her 'hit' song.?" That I can remember, she didn't get much hit radio commercial coverage in her expansive career. It didn't seem to impede her ability to sell out the venue. The searing guitars, infectious rhythm, & her soaring voice seems to reach out despite lack of radio play.

I know, strange I should be talking about a rock star on an eyeglass blog; On the one hand, having a blog can sometimes be an excuse for writing about unrelated events.

On the other hand, because her career now spans almost 2 decades, I did spy among the eclectic crowd a fair share of Gen Xers. Not to dis the efforts of the new generation, but we are from a time when rock was bare bones, raw, and decidedly not pop. To my fellow Gen Xers I saw last night, let me say this: Loved the belts, the leather, & the denim. And if I ever had the gall to approach you, I would let you know that these Reading Sun glasses would compliment your rocker forever look perfectly!

more Pizzazz

Not so long ago, I blogged about the most sparkly high end Swarovski readers in a fun Pink color called Pizzazz. Just yesterday, we posted 2 new Pizzazz styles. Note that they differ slightly in shape as well as color scheme.
the Brown Pizzaz have the most unique and beautiful Swarovski crystal color scheme. It almost looks camaflouge, if you can imagine yourself in the Army with green, periwinkle, tan and ruby Swarovski crystal eyeglasses accenting your uniform. The frame is quality brown plastic, and the rectangular shaped is rounded off at the edges to give a softer appearance.
The Black Pizzazz are SO classy in person. No picture can do it justice. It is larger than the other Pizzazzes. A full frame, rectangular with rounded lower edges, and covered with Swarovskis in black, clear, pink and green. True, the $54.95 price tag is on the upper end of what we sell. But if you are used to buying readers every few months, i promise, you will not get bored of these!
